Nonsense Day Limericks!

Congratulations to Samantha (aged 10) who won our Nonsense Day limerick competition.
The criteria was to be about their favourite Edinburgh Zoo invertebrate and of course fit into the nonsense theme. We just love the line with the sleeves as this is inspired nonsense!
A snail has a shell on its back
It slides slowly and makes a slime track
It likes to eat leaves
But it doesn’t have sleeves
And looking nice is what is lacks!
2nd place went to Jennifer
I’m an insect that looks like a stick
If you touch me I’ll give you a prick
I don’t want to hurt you
It’s just what I do
To get me out of the thin and the thick!
