It’s all happening at the Zoo…

With more snow arriving at the Zoo, our penguins are continuing to enjoy their winter wonderland. If you haven’t had a chance yet, make sure you check out our Penguin Cam to see what our gentoo friends are up to.
We have also launched our winter photography competition as we search for an image of the park’s most unusual wild resident, an albino squirrel. He or she is snow white from nose to tail and is very camera-shy and although it has been spotted by visitors and staff alike, very few have managed to capture the snow white rodent in action.
We are calling on all keen photographers who are up for a challenge to try and snap our infamous wild resident. You can also take advantage of the Zoo’s current £5 entry offer so there is no excuse not to have a go. The £5 per person entry runs until 8th January 2011 and is available to all ages. £5 Entry terms and conditions.
One lucky winner will win a prize of family tickets to Edinburgh Zoo or Highland Wildlife Park and the winning image will be featured on our website and in our members’ magazine. Entrants can send their squirrel snaps to firstname.lastname@example.org or via post to the Marketing Department, Edinburgh Zoo, 134 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6TS.Closing Date for entries is 31 January 2011.
Finally, are you searching for that last minute Christmas gift and don’t fancy the challenges of parking in the city centre? Then why not try the shop at the Zoo. Merry Christmas Everyone!
